Explaining Play-to-Earn and Rewards per Game Modes

How can you make money playing Chess? How can you earn money playing Chess? Does a play to earn mode exist for Chess?

Gamebeef's Play-to-Earn program offers a variety of payment options for chess players based on the game mode and duration. The following table shows the USD values for each mode, along with the payment amount for a win and the payment amount for a loss.

For Bullet mode, which has a duration of 30 seconds, 1 minute, 1 vs 1, or 2 vs 1, players will earn $0.000125 for a win and $0 for a loss.

In Blitz mode, which lasts for 3 minutes or 5 minutes, or has a time control of 3 vs 2 or 5 vs 5, players will earn $0.0005 for a win and $0 for a loss. However, for a 3 vs 2 time control, the payment amount is slightly lower at $0.000495.

For Rapid mode, with durations of 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes, or a time control of 15 vs 10 or 45 vs 45, players will earn $0.0015 for a win and $0 for a loss. The longest time control of 60 minutes has the same payment amount as the 30 minute time control, while the 45 vs 45 time control has a payment amount of $0.003.

Overall, Gamebeef's Play-to-Earn program incentivizes chess players to perform well in their games, with higher payment amounts awarded for longer game durations and more challenging time controls.

    1. Each game mode will yield different rewards based on its difficulty.
    2. Custom or event matches will not be counted.
  3. Only wins will be rewarded with $$. Losses will not. This is because we want players to compete against each other in terms of their win rates, rewarding the best professional players over casual players or players who have lower win rates.
